A friend rode his mainly black Foxeye down to the Bol d'Or one year with us when I was on my '90 Exup...his was way slower down the Mistral Straight.

I've got a 2001 R1 and it is alot quicker than an RU. Its also lighter and more nimble.

Mines the last of the pre injection models and if your going to buy one get a 2001 as most of the problems (dodgy gearboxes) that earlier models had were sorted, theres apparently over 150 changes to a 2001 R1 from the earlier ones including better power delivery.

Although its still fcuking mental.

Wow that foxeye looks tidyer than my ru in the pics,just goes to show,the old saying a camera never lies is b*ll*cks,ive the white/red 98 r1 and its a flyer.cant wait to stick it on the road !!
