Hey all .. I'm going to be buying new bearings for this ..

Can someone educate me please on what bearings are for where? I got the names from banners thread and can guess where the dogbone bearings go but which ones are for the spherical bearing and needle roller bearing.

Cheers

I been trying to make sense of it on ..
http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-fzr1000-198 ... ml#results

However when I check the part numbers the spherical bearing and needle roller bearing they come up as the same ?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252378523951 .. however using eBay for this check is probably where I'm going wrong ...

You can get the roller bearings numbered as 15 on the CSM site from these guys. Cheaper than ebay.

Stigs spot on with where the spherical bearing goes.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

One end of the dog bone is fitted to a bearing on the swing arm. The other bearing you're referring to don't fit there, it fits in the other end of the rocker arm where it bolts to the rear of the frame

Hello odbguy.

I borrowed your photo to try and put together where the bearings go. I've double checked what I've put and it's right. (I think so anyway)

In the post I wrote re the bearings I said bearings 15 also go in the swingarm. Sorry but I got that bit wrong. You need 2 bearings #3 for the swingarm. Sorry about that.
