Tea mug is empty as I guzzled it prior to taking photo, in a "thats that for tonight" kind of way.

This afternoons effort involved sorting out the rear light and indicators.

Any how started by assembling the tail tidy I forgot I'd bought.

fitted an old plate from my GSX400F just for giggles.

with all the wires run through I knew what I had to play with and set about extending the indicators, and replacing connectors.

waiting for some larger heat shrink tubing to arrive and I'll continue tomorrow

So, as it was a dry day today, i took the opportunity to wheel the beast outside to check the steering lock adjustments, and to do a bit of welding without melting the carpet tiles.

Pain in the arse moving everything out first though.

Now when I did the steering lock test last time it took 6.7m for the FZ to turn through 180 degrees, The Exup took 5.6m and lisa's hornet did it in 4.m

Now the lockstops have been "adjusted" the FZ can do it in 5.3m which is less than the Exup and as I've never had a problem with her steering lock the FZ will be fine.

Satisfied with that I set about the welding tasks, nothing major, just bits I'd overlooked in the past.
Welded into place a spacer on the seat lock mechanism.

Shortened a spacer for the radiator top mount

And prepared and welded in the battery tray filler panel mounting brackets.

And it turned out that my "fire blanket" wasn't exactly fireproof

another good reason for doing it outside

Gave the exposed metal a quick blast of black paint and put it all away, would've carried on with the electrics but the Postie didn't bring the heat shrink today, ho hum.

she's actually throwing, onto the garden, uneaten cat food for the birds, most of it ends up on the back of my car though!!
