01's Engine change
At least you got your engines in.
mine still sits next to bike waiting to slot back in!
After freezing and sliding home the other night on the old winter hack, and catching flu in the procces,I'm going to leave it for a warmer day.
missus said I must be going ga-ga in my old age as the car sits in the drive doing nothing.
Women simply just don't understand.

Sure winter riding does keep your skills honed but by the time spring comes your body will bre too knackered to make the most of what you've learned
I used to ride in winter before my hands went pear-shaped (no feeling, even in the early summer months).....but soon learned its easier to leave it in the garage and sit in the box keepng warm
AKA Bald headed b'stard
I had to do a mad dash back from work on the fighter earlier in the week to sort the missus out (baby blues).... I was riding like bloody ghost rider thru the traffic (mad)... cold tires and slippy roads are not the best combo and 130 odd horses had it spinning up and stepping out left right n centre still was fun tho
Next stop 200mph

Righty, got the EXUP valve properly set up and went for blast this morning before the shoppers woke up. Bleedin' clutch is binding and slipping . Maybe my previous 11K in top was a bit slower than I thought.
Oh well, hum-de-dum. Must have a good clutch here somewhere.
Binding AND slipping sounds odd though, so replace M/C and line first methinks as M/C was really full of black crud, so maybe goosed.

Converted to pedal power. Now skinny as fook.

Probably, but what's the point in having spares if you don't use them . One of the breakers has a braided clutch line and mine's got stock so it's headed for 01.Yoda wrote:Can't you buy a new seal kit for the M/C? Wonder if there's a plate sticking?
I'll investigate the clutch over the next week or so. M/C and line are easier than taking the clutch apart cos they're just sitting there on the shelf

No wonder the clutch was binding and slipping in my new engine.
Note the innermost friction plate to the let of the set.
Some fcukwit had put it all together with the clutch boss spring at the base of the stack. . Probaby caused the friction plate to warp and crack.
Luckily it was all contained so a new set of plates and we're all sorted.
