Really?... I always redexed my old cars and most of my bikes and it never did any harm.
Converted to pedal power. Now skinny as fook.

If you mean Redex,the stuff you squirted into petrol years ago,It was an upper cylinder lubricant.
Engines were a bit crap years ago on the lubrication front,also petrol was very dirty.
carbs used to block up,valves used to burn out and all sorts of probs occured.
Redex used to be a kind of lube/cleaner and helped to keep your engine going.
Dunno what its used for these days though.

Redex is still used for valve lubing, but its also supposed to clean crap out of your fuel system and your carbs,injectors, etc. They even do a diesel version. But unless your prepared to use the whole bottle in one hit, its a waste of time I'm afraid. There are much stronger products out there. I use that Silkolene Pro FST stuff. That does work, I know coz I've seen the carbs split open before use ,and six months later during use on beastie. :nod:
