Thats what I thought but when I removed mine there was a gasket as I have had to peel it off casing ? No problem then cheers

Rob get some gasket paper from a motor factors and make one it really is quite easy mate

Well I got my repaired swinger back yesterday and also received a replacement shock(cheers Robbo

) so spent last night putting it back together.I have never done anything like this before so I was pretty chuffed with myself.Every thing was greased and went back smoothly and I managed to keep the bike upright lol

Well today was an unscheduled day off so popped the back wheel in so I could turn the bike around and start on the front end.Next year I am getting a bigger shed lol

The lower bearing did not come out very easy? did not want to force it any ideas? Getting the yoke polished as it must of had brake fluid spilled on it.

Get a chisel and keep giving it a good clout at the base of the bearing in a clockwork direction and it will start to come loose. They are a a bit awkward.

Mansfield, you are lucky, nice roads and not too many speed cameras.

Well due to juggling bills and budget on the bike not really had any updates to post lately but there is progress again!

Got some twin Bates with nice brackets,new wheel bearings fitted,straight chrome handlebars,Koso clock and had my yoke polished up.Got a few other bits like stainless bolt set tail tidy and a radiator cover.

Wheels going in this weekend with chain & Sprockets and over the next couple of weeks the electrics get sorted and then off to get carbs cleaned.
I hope to be on the road for mid March?

Tt bottom yolk looks well

For some reason I thought they were steel on the lower yolk (don't know where I got that idea from

)

BTW, what you having done to the carbs?
