Use a mitre box and a fine toothed saw i.e. a hacksaw. I shortened a damaged carbon can I got on an ace by an inch to get rid of the damage.

You've got to go steady so it don't tear.
Converted to pedal power. Now skinny as fook.

i cut a mates carbon can with a full size grinder and
did a perfect job of it , you just need to be very light
handed with the force you use and it cuts no porblems

Has anyone done a topic on stubbying a can...it looks like i drill out the rivets so the end piece comes off,then carfully cut back the can and then re drill and rivet the spout bit back on...sounds simple :paranoid: :paranoid:

method I personally would apply would be....
If you want the can 3" shorter then take it to bits and cut 3" off each of the individual components :nod:

that way you keep the clearances of each piece to each other the same as they were originally

3" off the outer cover
3" off the baffle

and so forth...... then re-assemble :D

Was looking at buying a second hand can and link pipe(only needed the link pipe but could'nt find one),but decided to go for a new one :unibrow:

Got it off ebay and its the same as Jon's and RF9's from a place called freeflow...i like it very much and it sounds tons better than that bloody great big original thing :D
