My Ace..
My Ace..
Got the bike home and i am soooo pleased i chose the Ace....apart from what i described in my other post it is also datatagged and has a datatool alarm.
Even though there is no exup valve in the stainless downpipes it has been set up to allow for this and i'm glad to say it pulls like a bloody train right through the revs...much quicker than the Exup and fantastic handling to boot
Few pics...oh and the rack is coming off tomorrow
...gotta go out allday tomorrow so won't be able to have a play

Usually the black wires from the alarm link 2 connections on the loom together. I think it's 3 pairs but maybe different installations use different circuits. I've seen it on ignition, starter and EXUP servo.Cymro wrote:Very nice Al, bloody datatool alarm is a nightmare, if I knew how to take it off mine would be gone tomorrow.
You will need a wiring diagram to work out which connection goes to which and you'll need to cut the cover off the loom to trace the wires.
I resurected a Thunderace loom that had a silly alarm on it in a couople of hours, so it's tedious but not impossible.
Converted to pedal power. Now skinny as fook.
