Just be aware that they're lighter aluminium bar ends and may not do what the original heavy weighted ones did i.e. remove vibration from the bars

Stainless are a better option coz they're heavier IMHO

I`ve always used the aftermarket bar ends on my YZF750`s, and never had a problem with vibration through the bars.
Though i hear the Ace suffers if you don`t use the originals.

I oredered the ally bar ends, just waiting for em.
Grips are fitted.
Carbs and radiator all fitted last week, and all electrics sorted.
Own reserve switch fitted, and a fan bypass switch.
Thanks Creed again for the helpful bits :D

It lives!
It's loud as fook! :paranoid: :unibrow:
Gonna need a baffle me thinks.

Have repositioned my front indicators to just above the radiator, wasnt too keen on the old placing. Drilled and tapped the holes behind the rad fixing holes.
Dash is looking pretty cool.

Led oil light and fuel light, with tiny fuel reserve switch.

All lit up :D

Will put some more full view pics up later
Think it looked better without the rad and mudguard fitted though
Although the mudguard was red  in the process of slapping some black on it for now.

acewell

Post by dangerousdave »

put one on me zzr looked spot on but could never get the rev counter bars to work properly, plus set the speedo up by strapping a road angle to my bars and set the wheel size on the acewell as i went along, dangerous (but thats my middle name) but very accurate..
good luck with it all.

Here's some updated pics! :D
Aint been on for ages due to my laptop fookin up! :crybaby:

It's been on the road since early July i think it was, passed mot no problem, had to borrow a can for ensured pass though.
And used an led cruise light for a sidelight as the twin spots dont have one, thought it looked pretty cool :unibrow:

Really have enjoyed riding it, had it's fair share of teething problems though.
Ended up puncturing the fuel tank during final build
Two pin prick size holes, some JB weld style stuff sorted it.
Then it had a load of crap in the tank blocking fuel flow :paranoid:
Shoulda checked it before fitting, it caused me to breakdown a couple of times :retard:
And just lately the fan switch has failed, but i still have a manual switch anyway.

When i first started riding it, the front end kept trying to shake me off, whenever i opened it up especially on bumpy country roads.
Later found out i had fitted the wrong steering collar nuts!
As i had another front end (see first pics) and had fitted the shallower ones.
All sorted now though.

I fitted the brembo discs to bypass the trimming of brake pads! Never liked that idea.

Anyway ive included some pics during final build and when i had a ride out to Market Harborough.

Hope you like.
Still deciding on paint, but for now it's finished, and ridden everyday, almost! :D
