Right, the shock linkage is now off with the help of heat, penetrating oil and a big hammer. I took 2 sessions to do it and the bolt was horribly corroded to the bearing sleeve. Bolt needs rethreading but should have another one somewhere anyway.

Strange thing about the linkage is that the bearings have been replaced with nylon bushes. This is true for the 2 other than the dog bones and I've not had that bolt out yet so could be there as well.

Yoda, is this your handywork or was it like that when you got it? I would have thought you would have seen it when you put the nitron shock on? anyhow, there's no play so may just clean and grease it and put it back as-is.


Next step is to wirewheel the engine to clean it up (early results look promising) and to nitromors and polish the frame.
