Lucky boy (Gutted !!!)

Post by plodder »

I stuffed 01 down the road on Sunday afternoon. 45mph and snatched the front brake when bloke in front does emergency stop to turn left. Problem is he was already trailing the brake so I got no brake lights to warn me and no indicator either :finger:

My shoulder and ribs ache. :crybaby: Leathers pretty much did their job but took big impact on my right shoulder.

Lock stop broken, mirror, footpeg, bar end, exhaust can, main panel, cockpit fairing, rear piece just needs touching up. Have not checked forks yet.

I'll need some paintwork doing to fix it up or maybe a new body kit. :crybaby:

From the state of 01, I think you got away lucky. Andi and I both think you got a busted rib or 2 by the way you could hardly move today. :( Bad enough having to view a busted up beastie, let alone 01 as well. Gutted for you Lee, just hope you get better soon enough to fix one of them up. In a few months your gonna have more on your mind than 2 bikes to do up. :unibrow:     And Andi thinks your house is very nice too. Really liked the floor in the front room.

Thanks for the thoughts. The neck is OK and was not affected.

Yoda... thans for helping me get the bike on & off the trailer yesterday :D

EF... I'll need some paintwork/paint or the codes from the original and where did the black vinyl strips come from?

Stig... I'll need decals unless I use filler to patch up the panel that's already on it.

Dave. I've got some even more tasetful ones (same make & style... blue with flourescent yellow  ) but will see what's about.

Metalface... You didn't ask for the tour and we keep the clothes horse in there and wouldn't want you coveting the wife's dreses

I have got some of the parts but not plastics.

Back to work today ho hum :(

Lee, decals shouldn't be a prob. I'll have to get the plotter re-installed after a big format job but it don't take long to sort :crybaby:

I might be able to help you out with the large right hand panel if things happen as they're supposed to at this end. I'll let you know in a week or so if there's one available  and you're still in need and interested

OK Thanks Paul. I have got a panel in the loft but Jon did these in particular colours and matching them up may be a problem.

There's no rush on decals as I will be stripping the bike to check it all over and do the winter servicing. Due to my shoulder injury, I am unlikely to be riding for the rest of the year.
