Its good news for a change, fired up first time. :D

Sounds lovely, no smoke, no rattles, in fact it sounds a lot better than the original engine. :retard:

Just got to run it up to temp a couple of times, then change the oil and filter, flush out the coolant, refill it with nice new coolant, then out for a slow, leisurely ride this afternoon.

Well Chaps, original engine re-fitted, clutch return spring replaced, a few new gaskets here and there, exup valve stripped and regreased, a few wires resoldered, a couple of water hoses replaced, new oil and filter, just got to fit the carbs and hopefully get it fired up. :D

looks like it's going to be a good un , i know the potential of engine swaps i'm in the process of selling off my gsxr7/11 for parts.......only 1 thing though PAINT THE BLOODY ENGINE it's a pity to have a nice looking bike only to have a scabby looking motor , i've found PJ1 gives the best results and is a doddle to apply and is very hard wearing and if applied correctly can withstand petrol, brake fluid and most other things that other engine paint cant cope with.
always a handfull of nuts 'n' bolts left
