Pro-Bolt Fairing Kits. . .

A complete and utter waste of time, to put it bluntly.
My Ex has a bit of gold pinstriping through the fairing and gold hubs on the EBCs, so I decided to grab a set of gold fairing bolts just to blend the colour a little more.
None of the bits fitted, NONE. They are on the bike now but only after spending two hours trimming and cutting every fixing and virtually every bolt!
I bought the bloody things for ease of use as the rubber coated nuts for the original fasteners delaminated years ago. . . easy my arse.
Out of 10. . . 2, and that's being generous. I'm not even going to insult the forum with a link to the site.

Arc,
I had the same prob with sprocket nut..
Aluminium anodized with a steel insert.......
could I torque them up

In the end they just rounded so in the bin they went

now got a set of stainless to go on the chrome sprocket

I must say that I 've never had a problem with my fairing bolts and rubber nuts, they have been on and off my bike and a variety of different screens and are still working well.

bought a set of the gold pro bolt from the NEC and they did sort out the faring nicely especially the ones in the recess by the forks where no one could ever get a cross head!!! But then there was a rear mix on there of all sorts of everything bar clothspegs!!!! Havent put the screen bolts in yet and now feeling a bit queasy after your review.......

Eep, sorry about that mate, didn't mean to knock ya confidence with these horrible little buggers.
To be honest though, the only problem I had with the screen kit was that the bolts were to long. It just took a couple of minutes to chop 'em in half and bob's ya uncle.

yep but needed gold to fit in with the rest of the fairing bolts....

I tried to get me fairing screws out to copaslip them, all siezed!

what your probolt ones?
I ended up using black gold instead of copperslip and its the business. Had to use the tube adaptor and washer combination to get the thing to fit in the first place though...... can see why you had a problem Arcanium.

The Original bolts on any Yamaha are in a word...PONY!! i fitted an ally Pro bolt kit to my Ace (none of that fancy coloured stuff for me just plain silver) and to be honest the most greif i had was getting the old bolts out! thanks again to the last owner you cack handed twat!

dont hold back, tell it how it is, go on dont be shy, you'll feel much better getting it off your chest

has any one tried the bolts of the blackbirds ya no the ones with the allen key centre and the little drillings round the outside i might be sad but a think they look spot on
