never seen one without split pins mate

not too sure about split pins. Def needed if theres holes in the bolt but wouldn't a nylock nut do the same thing if the bolts not drilled.
Know my tester makes sure the pins are in

It's got nylocs on....guess if know one knows for sure if thats adequate i could always ring the bike shop before the MOT.

My torque arm hasn`t any split pins, though i modded mine to fit the R1 rear calliper.
It passed the MOT ok.

Though there aren`t any holes in the bolts to use them anyway.

Well my bolts are stainless steel ones fitted by myself and don't have holes either...i was thinking if it is a legal requirement then i'd drill em and put pins in them.

That looks smart! Doesn't look like you need mirrors.
Also:
Check the rear brake torque arm is secure and that fasteners are secured by self-locking nuts or castellated nuts with split-pins or R-clips

Good luck with the plate though. Just been told by a few police mates that they're cracking down on illegal font plates. The size is less of an issue but the font can stop the plate being read by cameras. They've been ordered to be harsh when it comes to plates so I'd expect a fine. Can't see the point in your font anyways bud, no offence meant,I just think it's daft

my mate went into Matlock last Thursday afternoon and came home with a ticket for his illegal plate on his R1 $:\$
copper said it'll also be endorseable later in the year

I got fed up with being pulled so went back to a legal(ish) plate. Pitbull's living on borrowed time. Now the Frenchies use standard(ish) size plates but miniscule typefaces or no plates at all. I'm told that no plates is the same crime as mini plates = failure to display.

Have always had 7+6 plate size but no logos and standard lettering and not had any bother but there is always a first time I suppose...

According to the lads they're only clamping down on fonts and plates that can't be read from the required distance. Smaller plates are apparently OK.
