The $500 FZR1k

Post by Mad Hatter »

Purchase price $500
About $1500 in it total so far until Attack Perfromance and Dymag get their checks. I have also ordered a set of custom clocks equiped with a gear indicator and some LED upgrades from LEDgear. Be here in 2-3 weeks. Converting to a 91-93 USD front end as we speak. Airtech body pieces being prepped for paint now.

I got from my neighbor who wrecked it and can't ride anymore.

I was able to purchase black plastics and tank, subframe and rearsets for around $300 plus it had Airtech bodywork on it which I was able to repair. The one piece rear is on there because I was only able to locate the left rear plastic piece. I need a right for a complete stock plastics set. Looking for a new frame as we speak as well so I can either powder coat it or polish it don't know which yet.

That Airtech kit is nice stuff if I remember they do something for the old FZR 600 to bring it up to date

Absolutely correct. They have a kit to turn you tired FZR600 in to a R1 look alike sort of. Th ebody work is light, but it's better than going on a diet. :D

Not sure but the dymags are white. I am leaning toward blue or red. It was solid red when I go tit.
