FZR1000R tatty rat bike

Post by 1040EXUP »

So I jump the train across to west london to pick up my bargain FZR1000R (300 quids ya know)...

And this is what I got for my money...

Image

Image

Initial problems are no working speedo or temp guage, along with the known fuel pump issue and the dented frame (clearly seen in the picture)... Lots of cracks (the photo's make it look better than it is)... but it rides really well, engine is nice n smooth and the brakes work (R1 calis), tires are diablos and seem good, shock is hagon and its got modded doggies so tips in nice, and a nice sounding art performance can!!

The bad bit is the MOT, only runs till August 21st.... but then thats three 3 weeks thrashing!!!...

The headlights actually look quite cool like that... sunk back I mean.
I take it they are not Exup lights then?
And you could just fill and paint the frame. Its a bit shit if its not bent it will fail just with a bash in it :\

Aye good call Malc. Busters have some unusual stuff knocking about. Still do rear sets for an Exup, so why not frame protectors.
