I ride mine every day as well, all i do is 10 seconds with the hose pipe if it gets wet or dirty, and a good rub a dub at weekends. ( thats my bike i'm referring to here

Winter riding is great for your skills cos come summertime when the roads are dry and clean you're rejoicing at the luxury whilst the fair weather fairies ( ahem ) are tip toeing round, trying to remember how it's all done.
