Did this year come with linear fork springs as standard or progressive ?

Im having my fork seals done and was going to change the springs at the same time ive had a look at the spring and it has a linear spring already.

AFAIK original springs were linear and good enough. You can adjust preload, a bit, for sag. You can adjust damping by using thicker or thinner oil.
I don't think that "progressive" springs offer any advantage.
Keep on keepin' on.

I tried some progressive fork springs from 'Progressive Suspension' in the usa as i'd read that they were better. MASSIVE mistake.....

I then bought some Ohlins fork springs to complement the Ohlins shock & BINGO  they worked as they said they would on the box.

No doubt K-Tech would be able to do something similar as Ohlins stuff has now got a tad expensive

And if you've not already modified the rear suspension, get some 160mm bc dogbones from the Stig. It moves the CoG slightly forward & raises the rear by about 25mm, which saves dropping the forks through the yokes & losing ground clearance.

I tried some 155mm dogbones but the chain was dragging on the top of the swing arm & chewing through the plastic chain guide. I even tried some 157mm but the 160s were the better fitment imho

I put 155 bones on my Foxeye. That sharpened things up.
Then I went -1 +2 on the sprockets.
This shortened the wheelbase a tad which complemented the bones.

The other advantage of the sprocket change was more drive off the line, closer ratios so it's always in the sweet spot, you can find the red line in top.

For not much money the bike was transformed.
Keep on keepin' on.
