With the 'O' costing that much I can see why you're using a sealant..... How can the importers warrant such a price ?

hi Nuggit. I think you have found the problem if the leak feels thick and oily as the is no other potential for leaks in that area. If the leak feels in any way gritty, thin and watery it could be road dirt run off from the inside of the fairing ( the picture does not look like this is the case as there is no streaking or dirt pooling that would do this ). If you start it up and give it the beans while holding clean tissue over the pickup coil that would tell you hopefully.
