I ended up at the Yorkshire gliding club at Sutton Bank. I was told about it by a biker friend of mine who says its in a lovely spot and just above the white horse of Kilburn. It's not quite Top Gun but good to watch though I did walk in like Maverick with my helmet under my arm. There were a couple of gliders up in the air and I was hoping to get them coming in to land but it must have been a good day for thermals because they disappeared out of sight.
Kim the cafe owner was telling me she gets lots of motorcyclists turning up.
