Where do I drain the oil from?
If I have to understand, don't bother to explain.

Thanks, I thought that might be it, that reminds me, I don't have a chrome exup cover.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Check your floats are at the right position like this....
and not like this...
If you've got a droop on then get some new float needle valves while you're in there.

Jeez John, I thought "WTF is that on a family forum"? Something your lady keeps in her bedside drawer?

Looking at it, I think the bolts have rusted away which is probably why it fell off. Exup valve is working though. Yay.
If I have to understand, don't bother to explain.

So set my float height then see if I have a droop?
And the best way to set my float height is? I know obviously, I'm just checking if you know.

Got the carbs back together and its ticking over fine and revs up gently, but soon as I try rev it up properly it doesn't like it and doesn't want to rev out. Any ideas?
I need to strip the carbs again anyway because the seals between the carbs seem to be weeping fuel.
Definitely better though.

Yes and has stig says that as well. Obviously a bit of crap lurking somewhere in there.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

I'll whip them off and have another look. They're leaking where the carbs are joined together where the fuel pipe feeds each carb. Where's best for those seals?

This is the little O ring Teego is talking about. There's one like this in every carb.

Exactly so, John.
You're a champion technical advisor but I'm concerned you have too much time to kill.
Keep on keepin' on.
