genesis 87

Hello. Does anybody have info on ignitor testing please. I am going through the ignition system on my genesis 1000 87. Coils in ranges on test. Pickup coil in range. Small spark from lead when run switch turned on but no spark turning over. I am homing in on the ignitor as if I had a short somewhere I wouldn't have anything from the ignition. Please correct me if I am wrong, also any tips please.
Well I'll be .....

Hello. Please confirm if possible. I have found my starter cut off relay is not functioning correctly. This is the 9 pin relay. Would this prevent the bike from producing a spark in the ignition cycle. The manual doesn't suggest it in the fault finding for ignition. I am puzzled because I thought starter cut off relays usually appear in the ignition system.
