itsnotagenesis,
I found a replacement petcock for my FZR on e-bay (above photo) for about $20 (16.04 Pounds). I BELIEVE this is the same one used on the 750?
The seller was DarkHorseMotorcycleParts. The product is of great quality and is complete with the o-ring, and the screen.
I would assume someone in England or Europe would offer the same item? If not, mention my name to "Thom" at Dark Horse and I think he will help you out. If not, I have an extra new one and could easily ship it to you.
Let me know if I can help further.
Very Sincerely,
Kurt Boehringer

I assumed it was probably broken and in my case when it broke it started leaking.
I suppose if you can get the original tap in the on position and it doesnt leak then you wouldnt need to touch it again and Nuggits idea would be spot on.
The diaphragm was knackered and wouldn't flow any fuel, so I took the diaphragm out and bodged it so that it flowed freely, then fitted a tap exactly like the one pictured.
I've ordered a rebuild kit now, so will take it off and do it properly this time instead of trying to do a quick fix.
The YZF tap is different to the FZR in that there is no ON/OFF lever.
Fuel should only flow when the engine is running as it works off a vacuum system.
Rebuild or replace the tap will sort it.
