Welcome Pete. Hopefully you'll not have any probs with the Genesis but if you do there's a service manual to dl in the tech section on the main site 👍

I believe the 18" is oem. It'll confirm it in the service manual specs page 👍

Sorry but there's a bit of confusion gone on here.....

Generally the Genesis is the pre Exup model produced from 85-88

Then the R model Exup 89-90 (which is also a Genesis technically)

And finally the RU model Exup, again a Genesis

All Exup's have 17" rims, the earlier non Exup Genesis has 18"

Welcome in Pete. Never mind your pile of bits, can you sort out this sh#te weather we're having. I'm pacing up and down like a caged tiger here, much to the annoyance of my missus. :\
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

just a quick update. the fzr engine has now been sold to a guy building a sidecar outfit and the parts sold with it. but i'm working on a bit of a project and i'm looking for a 17" genesis rear wheel complete with disc, sprocket carrier and spindle. also front wheel complete and calipers front and rear, all genesis. thanks
