From memory the light is wired to an extra turn on the ignition after the steering lock comes on. It activates both that and the rear light
If you don't have that extra turn you'll have to make a custom set up

Does your ignition switch have a P on it like the one in the photo?

Welcome in by the way.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Thank you

Yeah it has the P position on the ignition. Last night, I went on eBay UK and sought out a EU spec wiring harness for the front lights, which has an extra plug for the parking light. I'm curious if its a drop in replacement to get the parking light working or if I need to replace the main harness as well.

I'm hoping that Yamaha tried to reduce region specific parts to control costs, so I won't need to make many changes. We'll see...

Adding the parking lamp to a USA bike

iZombie,
Did you make the install? I would like to do the same to my '92!

Please provide some details if you were successful (and if you were not).
