The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.
Does anyone else have issues with this fairing mount point? It's the one that locates on to the clock bracket. I'm using the correct Yamaha screw, but it just seems to massacre the actual mount.
Not had that issue on mine.
From memory it's a crude fixing like a self tapper into the plastic.
My guess is the plastics got brittle over age and split once you have screwed into it.
You could maybe glue a stud into the mounting point and bolt it that way?
