I have a spare set of R1 cables. The innerspring are a bit frayed but that can be rebuilt with stainless wire. I can measure them for you if reqd

Thanks for the offer Stig, I found a thread with a Thunderace owner who measured his stock cables at 610mm.

So as long as the R1 cables are the same or longer, and the ends are correct shape/orientation then they should do the job?

Or am I way off the mark. Does the length matter?

Doesn't matter too much if they're over long as cables can be routed to use up the spare
I'll measure later for you and you can have them for post if any use

They were only 70p when I started doing my own cables years ago. Cost a chuffing quid now.

Just before I buy all the missing parts I need.

I'll need to check the servo works.

The bikes in bits at the moment, but once the is battery connected, and the ignition switch is turned on, should I see and hear the servo move.

This is the first bike iv'e had with the exup valve on, so learning as I go

No. turn servo fully by hand in either direction. Then turn on ignition. Pulley should self centre. Then do same in other direction. If it works both ways you're all good
