the wee beastie is rapidly coming together the engine plates work well all the plastics are in garage waiting to be sprayed and put on lovely shade of black tank mudgaurd rear panels all done .i got a little bit work to doon fairing but there is somany jobs in garage i have no chance of doing it. its not flash but has a nice set of usd forks blue spot calipers proper rad arrived new switches levevers etc
clutch is sorted and there was a big blue spark at plugs befor my garage leaked
wheels are sprayed needs tyres and some one brave to attempt ot start it

hi ya northmank
the ace engine will run with the exup ru loom and cdi but not the pre 91 exup R looms also you can use your exup carbs - if you decide to go with a ace loom and cdi you will need ace carbs with the TPS sensors anything else just drop me a mail and i'll get back to you as soon as i can

checked valve timing spot on
all plugs new and a good blue spark
petrol fresh
battery new
nothing

I take it the plug leads are on the correct plugs?

aye lad yon plug leads as supposed
they are marked 1-4 and i checked in wiring diagram thanks for suggestion
head is off and valves out exhaust valves very carbonised intake like new apart from one wich looks a bit battered

all giv it a while longer then im fitting b44 engine an taking it down santa pod
an show them busas whats what

Bit late to do a compression test now, or better still a leak down test usuing compressed air.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa dropped bucket and shims now all mixed up so the story goes on i also ran off money and nothing she lies towards the side of the garage this is the hardest thing i have done and i worked on some shit heaps as a mech
