Carb balancing

Post by jas328sport »

I balanced my carbs earlier and although they weren't too far out they definitely weren't perfect. After much cussing I managed to get the inserts in although cylinder 3 was an absolute ballache. I managed to get them in pretty much perfect balance but when putting it back together it suddenly dawned on me that maybe I should have done it with the airbox on whereas I left it off.
So should the airbox have been on or off.

I do mine with it on but I don't think it matters as you are just "equalising" the butterflies on all 4 carbs.
Life's short & it's hard like a body building elf

Agree. Balance is not the same as airflow.
Keep on keepin' on.

+1
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
