Spark plug socket

Post by jas328sport »

Just been trying to change my spark plugs and I'm buggered if I can find a sodding socket that will go down inside the head, I know from measuring the new plugs that I need an 18mm socket but both the ones that I have tried from my local motor spares shop and halfords have been too thick to fit inside the head, I assume I need a thin walled socket but anyone got a link to one.
Also done an oil and filter change and the bloody o-ring supplied with the filter was too big so I had to reuse the old one so not been a very successful day so far.

Try a box spanner for the plug

Can get a full set from screwfix for a few quid if you can't find a single locally. Could also look in a scrap yard 👍
