The rest of the parts came off a dead Fazer that I had in storage, or from raiding forgotten boxes of VTR parts in the loft.

The VTR Tank is notoriously small so I added a belly like the Exup.

Nice bit of welding there lad.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Excellent. Would that have actually fit on a VTR?

It came off a VTR1000 but there is no way it would fit back on one now unless you removed the rear Cylinder.
By the time I'm finished making a new airbox, it'll hold more fuel then the original Exup Tank.

Really impressed with your work!

How much fuel do you think it will hold when finished?

Need enough to do 100 mile commute every Monday morning. My Chop only does 80ish so 150 would be awesome.

Thought so. I guess they'd have done it if it was possible. Still, fine work, indeed.

Had another prod at this last night.
Fitted a set of USD's with new Bearings and a set of Headers that do away with the EXUP, also spent a good few hours wiring it up.

I used mostly VTR components again because I've got tonnes of that stuff which made it was easy to fit in the undertray and the butchered sub frame. Most of the loom was hacked out a a VTR harness, so the colours will confuse the hell out of anyone that has to work on it in the future.
It will probably be temporary anyway as I'd like a programmable ignition box. I thought I was nearly ready to pack away at 2 am but the Speedo had me up till gone 4am.
Its a chinese effort and the instructions weren't even half right, so had to sit there with a meter and a chocolate block working it out for my self. Only got the Rev counter and Fuel guage to figure out now. Think I'll be able the get the Tacho working off the Coil or Pick up, but i suspect I'll need to make my own fuel sender unless I can find one off another car or bike that had a gauge, not sensor... I'll figure that out next week.

Made a start on the Airbox last night. I thought I'd have it done in a night, but that might have been a bit enthusiastic. Made loads silly mistakes trying to work with what leftovers from the Turbo bike were lying around. Should have just bought the right stuff.
