Hi,

Has anyone managed to do an LED headlight conversion, sucessfully?

My mincers are not good in low-light anyway, but coupled with the very average main and 'glow worm in a cup' dip, night riding is becoming embarrassing.

I couldn't even spell, 'successfully', successfully.

It's the low-light in this room.

im going to try one on my zxr400 when it all gets put back together, you need the heatsink + fan ones, about 3000 or so lumens will do it, the only issues ive seen are reg/rec issues due to the decreased load your reg/rec needs to dump more excess power as heat and that can cause issues.

the reviews ive seen show a big difference, but ive not tried any yet.

you will also need to modify the headlight boot to fit around the bulb heatsink...they really are odd looking things...

I looked at direct LED replacements for the "standard" 1992 RU halogens a while back and didn't find anything without making modifications.
