Vehicle TAX (extortion)

Post by oldskoolexup »

As we approach the start of another school year, here's your early homework.

Is it just me being a miserable bunt or has anyone else considered the following?

I realise it's not just vehicle tax that this affects but was just thinking why should people paying by direct debit be financially penalised by paying about 5% more than those making one payment annually? It's likely that many pay this way to spread the cost as it may be necessary to HAVE to budget to survive month-to-month and hand-to-hand. Paying by Direct Debit, surely, cannot cost this amount as it is a simple electronic system and is just another excess cost.

And another thing....... why is it 10% extra that is charged if you pay in one payment at 6 monthly intervals? Surely this should cost less?

The increased charges for paying by Direct Debit and in particular at 6 monthly intervals should NOT be allowed to exist in my view.

Would you like some whale music to accompany you?
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

After the day I've had, definitely!

Thanks for the thought.

Meanwhile...seriously, has anybody been or is currently insured on a classic policy which then afforded them NCD???
