The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

Thunderace Exup servo movement

Post by wonkiwheel »

How free should the rotation be on the servo? all the cogs seem to be in good order and the motor spins freely when not under load, however when the cogs are all in place the rotation is very hard, i know the gearing will play a part but should it be so hard to spin, i have to use both hands with good grip.....ooer missus

If it's same as Exup then you should be able to move it easy with 1 hand... with some resistance

I have a spare at home I can check when I get in from work 👍

Wouldnt say its easy....ok both hands was a bit extreme but there defo seems to be a lot of resistance especially to get it moving one way or t'other, anti clockwise seems the harder way.
