FZR 1000 Exup year 1992 blue spot calipers brake line

Post by Exup198 »

Hi Guys,
I'm near the end of the blue spot calipers conversion on my 1992 FZR 1000.
I've fitted the calipers, new pads and 1998 R1 master cylinder.
Now i've some doubts regarding the brake line.
The original FZR 1000 line it's composed by one pipe that go to one end of the splitter and two lines from the splitter to the calipers.
It's better to maintain this design by fabricating custom brake lines for the blue spot calipers or simply buy directly R1 or R6 brake lines?
Only of the R1 or R6 first model year or also more recent?
How you fix the new brake lines instead of the splitter? You fabricate a bracket or similar? There is anything ready bolt on?
I want to make a clean work if possible, you know....
I need to be myself i can't be no one else...

Use two separate full length hoses from mc to caliper. Use a twin banjo bolt with built in bleed nipple at the mc

Me too.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
