A word on Micron cans

Post by cooler »

Hi,

After a 200 mile, two day, burn along the South coast on my Ace, I'd like to praise the old school Micron can with an EXUP.

No need for decibel killers, as the EXUP runs slow and quiet but once over 7000rpm she howls! I don't hear much of the airbox on the Ace, so a bit of extra
tone goes down beautifully.

Don't know what the original can sounds like, but I wouldn't give up the Micron, not on a long straight or even in the twisties.

What's not to like?

c. :)

I run a Harris open ease can. Same as yours, due to the valve it's fairly civilised at low speeds/rpm but howls like a scalded banshee when the pace increases

Can't beat it  :unibrow:

I never realised your driveway was that long. :p
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
