Ride out to Whitby

I met up with Mike (roadrunner) at the Seaways cafe. Then set off for Whitby via Malton. The weather was lovely but a bit cool going over the North York moors. Arriving in Whitby it was a lot warmer with lovely blue skies. Had lunch and after a couple of hours we set off for Scarborough via the coast road. Had a cuppa at Scarborough then headed back to Seaways. It was a lovely ride out and the bikes went really well. Oh and I put my hand in my pocket and bought Mike a tea. Don't believe what he says. I asked him for a bit of sausage sandwich but all I got was talk to the hand. See photo 4.

looks like a nice day. See Mikes on the make-do bike still. Come on mate pull ya finger out and get that EXUP fixed!

I'll let Mike explain all that to you Paul. It was a long drawn out job what with one thing and another. I'm not going through it all.

Hi Paul, sorry for the late response

I'll try to explain as briefly as I can......I test rode the bike at Allan Jefferies prior to purchase. I loved the bike and it's insane performance! I did mention to the salesman, however, that I found the suspension to be much too hard for my rather light weight of 76kg in riding gear. He told me that I would have to set the suspension up to suit my weight, which is a normal procedure when setting up a new bike. Anyway, long story short, I found that all the spring preload adjusters were already wound out to their softest positions when I got the bike home! I checked the hand book and found the bike is set up for Mr average from the factory, at 85kg with no provision to go softer! So I got onto a rather nice man at Jefferies who happened to be a director of the company, who promised to look into it for me........ Sorry but I'm afraid that I have to leave it there for the moment as my son and grandchildren have just turned up! I will carry on with part 2 after things get back to normal.
