ok..latest update.... my original set of carbs have 2 bent needles so i have taken a needle out of my spare set and it seems a totally different profile.
The bike is a 1990 FZR1000 EXUP.
In the picture below 1 is the needles from the carbs on my bike and 2 is from the spare set of carbs ( still a 90 exup) .
any thoughts on which are the standard and what the others are ( e.g dynojet , or different model etc ) .. i think type 1, the ones the taper to a fine point ,might be a dynoyet kit but not sure
Well that me confused.... original carbs of my bike have standard needles , but the bike had K'n'N air filter and straight through pipe yet the 'spare/doner' bike looks like it has a dynojet kit and standard airbox and standard exhaust ......
both bikes were running with there current set up...
i'm getting a headache
You could be faffing around for ages with this. Get a set of new needles and toobs (they'll be fooked too) from Stig. Use standard settings and airbox. Add a K&N and a can and you'll have a rocketship. And keep the Exup - twist and go.
