Carb inlet rubbers

Post by robertcains »

I require new carb inlet rubbers on both sides of the carb (8 pieces) due to them perishing & going hard.
Genuine parts are daft money, can anyone recommend any non genuine parts please, are the ones on eBay up to scratch?
TIA Nick

Have the pattern ones on the inlet side and as stated you can't tell the difference
Not seen pattern for the airbox side so any leads would be useful

I have the inlet pattern ones on mine from eBay and I can recommend them.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

as above - got pattern lowers from a dealer but went for OEM tops rubbers as no alternative - made a real difference putting the airbox back on - soooo much easier!!

I've now put the non genuine lower rubbers in & all seems good, however my mechanic is going nuts with me as I refuse to fork out the daft price for the uppers, the only thing I can even find for sale is a used air box but logic tells me they will be knackered too?
Does anyone know of a used air box with still supple rubbers please?
Cheers Nick
