Hi All.
Just about to start my winter project of trying to save my '90 1000exup. It has been sitting in an unloved state at the back of a various garages and sheds for the last 12+ years so now I have some space I thought it's best that I do something with it ...... there is lots of bits missing unfortunately (and the last thing i rebuilt was an Rd50) so please expect lots of dumb questions from me ,and lots of 'wanted' posts.
I will post some pics soon
Ta

Good luck with the rebuild. Look forward to seeing some pictures

Love a project thread - great that you will be keeping a camera handy - helps when trying to answer questions as well

Welcome in Kiwi and there's no such thing as a dumb question, lets call it a challenge.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Well got the motor out and now its on the bench, ready for some serious cleaning to happen !!!
next part of the plan is to sort the frame /swinging arm, then the front end , then the rear subframe and rear side panels etc, then more tlc on the motor and try and put it all back together..

would you consider vapour blasting (posh steam cleaning) or are you getting stuck in with Gunk and tooth brushes?

It does help if you take plenty of photos when you take bits off as a reference. If you get stuck there's plenty of folk on here willing to help.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
