The weather was a bit iffy this morning but we braved it out and set off for Sandsend near Whitby. I met Mike and Geoff at Seaway's and it was very grey and a bit on the cold side. As we got near Pickering it warmed up a bit but going over the North York Moors the temperature dropped rapidly. Nearing Sandsend it started to warm up a bit. We got parked and headed for our usual cafe and we got a seat outside in a right suntrap just as the sun came out and it was lovely and warm. After having lunch we moved on to Scarborough and we had a walk on the pier to the lighthouse. We then set off for home and calling at Seaways on the way.
It was a good ride out and we're hoping to get out on Saturday for a ride out. That could be my last ride out. According to the weather boffin's its going to be 17 degrees with sunshine, so we can't complain at that.
Here's some photos of the day....
A ride out today.
A ride out today.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
We're out tomorrow hopefully. Its going to be a nice day weatherwise. You've got to grab these good days while you can. Winter is just around the corner. Might be heading for Thirsk in North Yorks.
