OIL...again!

The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

Wouldn't recommend using car oil in a bike as it contains additives to reduce friction. Not very good for wet multiplate clutches like in a bike engine

Fir the bike I use Rock Oil

Do u just find some slippage of clutch or anything else more sinister???

Any particular rock oil?

Not tried car oil personally but have come across several posts over the years of running the forum


I use Sigma Guardian Rock Oil

Ran fully synth in my FZR for a while - caused clutch slip, went back to semi synth and had no further issues
