Are box standard needles height adjustable??.. I own 2 exups,, both 1992 models..
One has definitely been jetted/fat adjustable needles (6settings)/main air jet capped off etc..
The other is running standard jets, adjustable need(5 settings) standard air box, main air jets open etc....
What is the norm regarding needles.... Adjustable or fixed..
Thanks...
Standard needle question..
Cheers stig....im drooling over that..
Your needles are what i have in one set of carbs..5 settings.
My other carbs have fatter needles, 6 settings, 143 main jets, and a capped main air jet....definitely been took to a stage 3 mod..
To answer my original post, YES standard needles can be lowered/raised,.... I was asking just to make sure both sets of carbs hadn't been re-jetted, and 1 were a standard set...which they are....
Cheers

It sounds like a PO has rejetted Andy88s carbs with a Dynojet kit, which is the same as what I modified my carbs with countless years ago. With the DJ kit, K&N std airfilter, noisey exhaust & modified airbox inlet cover, the bike ran really well & was more economical than with std needles.
I only installed twin pods as a Stage 3 because the carb/airbox rubbers hardened so much the airbox wouldn't seal. So I junked it. The bike runs ok above 2k, but with a little bit of float height & air screw juggling I reckon I can adjust this to improve things
