The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.
So I replaced that alternator, still the same. Got a new battery, still the same, opened some of the loom and found some more perished/split/broken wires and fixed them, still the same. I'm going to check the switches then remove the loom and open it fully and check it.
Tip....
Take plenty of pics of where to loom bindings go, especially where they start and finish. If you've not got a second loom as reference it make recovering a whole lot easier
Will do. It should be a whole lot of fun me being colourblind n all. I've got a colour wiring diagram thanks to a previous topic, the legend is a little wrong but ive got the service manual black and white as back up.
