Hi everyone, I'm new to site and new to owning a FZR 1000 EXUP.
I've got a few issues with it and need some advice first can someone tell me what year/model it is. Log book has it being first registered 5/91 on a H, engine number is a 3LG. Reason I ask is because I've bought a few parts for it and they've been wrong. As close as I can figure I have to buy parts for a 1990. Any advice welcome as I'm a bit of a pleb with things like this

Welcome
It's easier with pictures as they changed in 90/91. Use photobucket to host your pics and then paste the IMG link into your post
Generally if it's round twin lights and right way up conventional forks then it's the R model. Later upside down forks are fitted to RU models

Which model out of these 3 does it look like?
One
Two
Three
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

89/90 R model. The 90 has adjuster bolts sticking out the tops of the forks
Don't believe the 89 did but stand corrected
You can see them if you zoom on the following pic

I'm not with it Stig. It's the tablets I'm on for this back pain.

Roadrunner's exup is an 89 and that doesn't have the adjuster bolts. He's got the screw type one's.
