Does anyone know if the YZF Thunderace frame is the same as the FZR frame? I was thinking of matching the rear seat unit to the FZR including the panels so hence my question.

The frames will be very close in width as they house the same block. The engine top mounts are different tho

The ace rear is closer to the R model as the RU has the extra cast section on the frame that supports the subframe. Recon the R model subframe might fit with a few mods if it's offered up but certainly won't be plug n play
