Believe first pic is neutral switch then oil sensor as what Nuggitt says

Think the bit in you hand looks like one of the tangs from a clutch plate

I too dunno the part on the cylinder in the last pic, can't remember seeing it on my bike but then again I haven't looked at it since last spring time

Ahh I see. . Thank you. That makes sense for the oil sensor.

The little metal bit, the 1st thing what popped into my head was something clutch related. And I don't know why cos iv never stripped one ... but seems like I obviously will be doing now ! Lol

And the last little bit il wait out :/ I tried taking it of and it wouldn't budge and without knowing with it is I don't want to force it anymore that I already have.
Iv made it harder for myself tho cos I didn't label it up so I'm looking at parts now wondering how they are all ment to fit back together!! Lol

Ahh can't beat a bit of tiling. Hope you got a few beers for help.

Think its the crank position sensor for the coils.

Cool cheers Des. I'm guessing normally speaking the crank sensor should be able to move !?

If its the crank sensor as I think then no it shouldn't move.

I think it will have at some point tho cos the engine has had a poor respray before I got it and the sensor or wire hasn't been touched ?

yes its the crank pickup sensor, once you remove the retaining screw you can remove it, but dont pull on it from outside the engine as you will break it (ask me how i know), and there are approximatley 0 spares for it in the whole of the UK, other than buying a replacement engine.

when you need to remove it push it from inside the engine, it has a rubber o-ring around it and its sealed to the cases pretty tightly, but it will go...just DONT DO IT FROM THE EXTERIOR OF THE ENGINE.

Looking at the pic it looks like you have a tab broken off that bolts it in place.
Check the diagram

No luckily it's not missing or broken iv already taken it off.

I'm glad you have added that link as I'm in need of the countersunk screws from the crankcase cover. It states on there bearing cover but that's the same thing isn't it ! Do you order from this site?

dont buy the yamaha countersunk screws unless you have a JIS screwdriver, not a pozi, not a phillips, not a frearson, but a JIS!

if you dont have one you will chew them up, ive done engine rebuilds for people on here and the most annoying thing is the friggin crank cover bolts!!

buy some 10mm countersunk stainless steel or Ti bolts (probolt etc) with allen heads...so much easier to use and remove.

remember they dont need to be torqued that much, and remember to put a bit of sealant on the cap where the two halves of the crankcase come together.

That's probably why they were such a pain to get off then..
