Oil Filter Conversion

Post by YAMAEXUP »

I've bought myself a Yam FJ1200 for taking me & the misses touring around Europe as the pillion position on the Exup-R is not that easy for her, especially with idea of luggage etc.

On the farcebook page for FJs, an owner on there has found this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271784026770

As the oil filter for the FJ is the same as for the Exup-R i'm wondering if it might also fit my Exup. If it doesn't then I can use it on the FJ. It looks like a nice bit of kit, especially if it's made from stainless instead of bare ally. If it's ally i'd get it anodised as it'd be in an area where it'd get corroded pretty quickly otherwise

Just found a mobile number on the advert so i'm going to give the bloke a ring soon & as he's only just around the M25 from me, i'll see if I can pop over to his & try one at his place.

If there's enough interest & it fits my Exup-R, i'll ask if we can do a group purchase & get them at a discount
