Choke

Hi

fzr1000 exup 1989

I removed my choke cable from the carb a long time ago and having just restarted the work again I have found that I have lost what holds the cable onto the carbs ( not the nipple on the cable ). I also cannot remember or find any reference to what it looks like.
I have searched the web and ebay with no luck.

A picture of the missing part would be great.

Don't have a pic to hand but basically it's a small square washer with a hole in the centre for a retaining bolt
Two adjacent sides are slightly curled over,the first to stop the cable moving sideways and the other to stop it pulling past its stop when the choke lever is pulled oa size is approx 12mm square

No i have that piece nuggit.

But now i have a pic it looks like I'm not missing anything.
The white plastic the nipple goes into has a slot, couldn't see it on the bike, I'm guessing its a bit squashed and the cable isn't locating into it.
Will have a look today and see what's going on

Damaged part ??

Well ive had a look and its damaged
should be able to fix using hole to bolt a small piece in place

It appears one of the lugs is missing from yours. I'm sure it can modified with like you say a bolt through the hole with a bit of flat plastic for the nipple

to fit into.

My other hobbies include fishing so it helps, and I tried to keep it real with the water colour etc

Its quite a large painting 4ft X 3ft
