YZF forks

Post by DaddyA »

Hi fellas,

Seeing as I can't get a later fork to match the one I have for my 750, I decided to get the earlier type I have serviced and re chromed!

Seems like the genuine fella I bought them off wasn't so genuine as Philpotts have refused to re-chrome as they have been straightened (ish) previously leaving ripples etc.

As anyone bought and could recommend a supplier of new stanchions?

Cheers

Didn't have to go with anyone in the end, turned out it was only one that was damaged. I had a spare single leg so using that one for parts - so I should hopefully end up with two straight, re chromed original fork stanchions.

I was told that 'all bike engineering' supplies good quality stanchions - made to order so may take a while?
